Thank you for your interest in serving on our Board of Directors!
Coppell Amateur Radio Enthusiasts is seeking nominations from qualified individuals to serve on our Board of Directors. Board members represent CARE and are advocates for our mission and activities. Responsibilities include:
- governance and leadership of our organization’s programs and activities
- attending Board meetings on a regular basis
- represent CARE and our members in our local and surrounding communities
To serve on the Board, you must be a CARE member at least 18 years of age. Terms run for a period of two years, at which point the position reopens for vote. There is no limit on the number of terms anyone can serve.
At the March 19 Annual Meeting our Members will vote on one position. However, there are two other position vacancies, and the Board will review nomination details from those not elected at the Annual Meeting to fill the remaining two vacancies. Those two positions are up for vote during the 2020 Annual Meeting.
Anyone wanting to add his or her name to the ballot should complete and submit the Nomination Form below no later than March 12. If you cannot submit your information by this date, we will open the floor for nominations during the Annual Meeting and you can run as a write-in candidate. The vote will take place at the Annual Meeting.
If you have any questions about the responsibilities of serving on the Board, requirements to serve, or other questions, we invite you to review our Governing Documents found on our about us page. Also, please feel free to contact us.
